DHEAN.NEWS JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo inaugurated and took the oath of the Steering Committee of the National Research and Innovation Agency, at the State Palace, Wednesday (13/10/2021).
The appointment of the Steering Committee of the National Research and Innovation Agency membership is stated in the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 45 of 2021.
The Presidential Decree, which contains the structure of the BRIN Steering Committee, was read by the Deputy for Administration at the Ministry of State Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia, Nanik Purwanti. The structure consists of 1 chairman, two vice chairmen, one secretary, and six members.
Dr. (H.C.) Megawati Soekarnoputri appointed as Chair, Minister of Finance as Deputy Chair, Minister of National Development Planning/Head of National Development Planning Agency as Deputy Chair, Sudhamek A.W.S. as Secretary, Emil Salim, I Gede Wenten, Bambang Kesowo, Adi Utarini, Marsudi Wahyu Kisworo, and Tri Mumpuni as members.
The President led the oath of office with 3 religions procedure, namely Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. After that, the entire BRIN Steering Committee followed President Joko Widodo's words.
"That I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all laws and regulations as straight as possible for the sake of the dharma of my service to the nation and state. That in carrying out my duties, I will uphold the ethics of office, work as well as possible, with a full sense of responsibility," said the President.
After leading the inauguration, President Joko Widodo congratulated by approaching the Steering Committee one by one. After that, the event closed with a group photo session.
