DHEAN.NEWS JAKARTA - Minister of National Development Planning Suharso Monoarfa received virtual audience of Ambassador to the United States Sung Yong Kim, Wednesday (01/12/2021).
The meeting discussed the development of cooperation between the Indonesian government and USAID. The cooperation between Indonesia and the United States (through USAID) for the 2020-2024 period has been stipulated in a cooperation document called the Bilateral Development Cooperation Framework (BDCF).
The BDCF is one of the instruments in the comprehensive partnership between the Government of Indonesia and the United States.
This collaboration has 4 main focuses. First, strengthening democratic governance. Through the INTEGRITAS (Indonesia Integrity Initiative), CEGAH, and COLLABORATION (Papua Collaborative Governance Initiative) projects.
Second, increasing inclusive economic growth, including through the YEP (YouthWin through Economic Participation) project, JAPRI (Becoming an Independent Entrepreneur), Higher Education Partnership Initiatives, Economic Growth Supporting Activities, and Mixed Finance Promotion Activities, Private Sector Supporting Environmental Activities (PSE2).
Third, improving sustainable environmental management, among others through the BIJAK (Build Indonesia to Protect Nature for Sustainability) projects, SEGAR (Sustainable Environmental Governance Across Regions), SINAR (Sustainable Energy for Indonesia's Advancing Resilience), Energy Utility and Regulatory Partnership Program, Urban Water, Sanitation, Solid Waste, and Hygiene Program and Climate Change Adaptation Program.
Fourth, strengthening public health, including action projects to end neglected tropical diseases, polio and tuberculosis support programs, maternal and child health programs, and health system strengthening programs.
